The Davidsons

Construction of the DGAC was made possible by Nancy Gundy Davidson BS’80 and Charles “Chuck” Davidson MS’80, both graduates of the Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. The couple envisioned a space that would serves as a “doorway to the future,” where students could connect to their eventual roles as alumni, as well as the creation of a much-needed home for all alumni which could also serve as a point of connection between the University and broader community.

Nancy and Chuck worked closely with University staff and architects through all planning and design phases of the DGAC, including site selection, decisions on interior design and landscaping, which included preserving the historic live oaks that surround the exterior gathering space.

The couple are loyal supporters of the University, generously funding multiple scholarships and endowed chairs. At the Jindal School, the Davidson Management Honors Program is named in their honor. From the very beginning, Nancy and Chuck hoped their gifts would serve as catalysts to encourage other alumni to re-engage with the University. With the opening of the DGAC, a tangible space on campus has been created for the fulfillment of this vision.
